Generalized estimating equations (GEE) in Python

June 14, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Rackham Building, Earl Lewis Room, 3rd Floor East

Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) is a family of regression methods that can be used for analyzing various types of structured or dependent data (e.g. clustered data or longitudinal data). Many analyses that are commonly performed using mixed models can also be conducted using GEE methods. We will give an overview of the GEE methodology, focusing on similarities and differences from mixed models and other regression approaches.  The main goal of the workshop is to demonstrate using the GEE methods in the Python Statsmodels package via case studies.
